Studio maternity. One main light set at 3 to 4 o'clock

Small frog (Dendrosophus mathiassoni) perched on a dry and twisted bark. With this picture, despite the fact the frog is not incredible and colorful, I still wanted to create something beautiful using composition, and background (with the help of my Photoshop skills) to emphasize the subject, and trying some kind of monochromatic (or analogous) color theme.

Spending half a day photographing the roaring water is hard for the ears. But it’s not necessarily noise. If anything, it’s mesmerising and meditative. Yes, I love this kind of self healing.

The view of the cherry blossoms that bloomed on the lake side bathing in the morning sun and shining in gold was very beautiful.

The canyon's massive walls, etched by millennia of nature's artistry, are bathed in a soft, radiant glow, as if the very earth were embracing the fading light. Use your words to capture the serenity and grandeur of this awe-inspiring scene, where the world stands still, and nature's beauty reigns supreme.

I found these 3 fluffy ones in Mountains of Rarau from Romania and somehow managed to keep the "pose" like these.

The mysterious world of the Icelandic highlands on a moody day.
This was shot on our way to Landmannalaugar, but while driving into the highlands the weather turned really bad. The rain was pouring down like I have never seen before, turning the road into a river. And eventually we had to give up and return.

In the post processing I have worked with light and shadows. Since it was raining a lot I have also dehazed quite a bit to retrieve some details.
Also saturated and added some extra clarity to the colors.

Beautiful festive colors, pink, blue, golden white brightening every hallway and byway. Colors soft and bright covering the town in a golden glow under a majestic sunset painted sky. Brushstrokes of heavenly beauty on a canvas that spans the seas. Seamless fusion of man’s creation and the glory of nature.

Here's one from a new shoot with Loic, a bodybuilder based in Dublin, Ireland.

Shot with a Nikon D750 and used 3 light studio setup. The key light was an 80cm octabox just above Loic out of frame. I wanted to keep the light quite close to him to make use of faster light falloff (gotta love that inverse square law).

I typically use modifiers on rim lights but these were bare flashes (one either side) as I wanted to keep the light a bit contrasty and dramatic.

It never ceases to amaze how nature can create such dynamic and unique textures like this curvy flow of molten lava.

It remains absolutely mesmerizing in so many ways and is by far the most exciting subject I've ever had the chance to witness.

I shot this in October 2021, during one of the biggest lightning storms I've seen in Southern California in a LONG time. Right place, right time, and right equipment.

Shot on a Nikon D800 with a Sigma 70-200 f2.8 lens set to an interval timer with 6-second exposures at f9.5.

The Midi d'Ossau peak rises majestically as a prominent summit in the Pyrenees, reaching an altitude of 2884 meters above sea level. Located in the French department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques, near the border with Spain, this imposing natural landmark captivates with its magnificence. The photo was taken at sunset, when the last rays of sun bathed the mountain in golden and pink hues, creating a magical and evocative atmosphere.

Often exploration allows us to discover new places and their wonders, like this wonderful frozen waterfall. I wanted to bring my brother to this place, a place I visited when I was 15 or perhaps even younger, a place of which I only had very vague memories, some snapshots from the early 2000s, a place I wouldn't have been able to find again if not by chance, thanks to the desire to explore new places. I can't describe the joy I felt when I realized I had finally closed a circle left open for 18 years.

The message remains the same: life is short and the world is wide, go out and explore.

The rugged coast of Madeira, Portugal.

This small stream in the Bavarian Alpine foothills winds like a snake through the autumn forest. In order to emphasize the movement in contrast to the still trees, I chose a longer exposure time to smooth out the water.

Shot in Grand Teton National Park in early October of 2006, Mount Moran is just visible in the mists that were drifting along String Lake. Magenta light on the peak was the first light of the impending sunrise. Elk were bugling back and forth across the lake as I took this image. I shall never forget it.

This is the third of a beverage series in which I wanted to only use 2 lights. This is a simplistic approach using only the cans, glassware and flavor cues as the compositional elements. This series was shot on the Canon 5D4 and the 50mm 1.2.

These breathtaking Japanese maple branches were suspended silently in front of a gentle cascade, the morning dew dripping from the crimson leaves into the water below.

Kiba is a nine-month-old boxer pit bull mix who was rescued from a kill shelter. He is a very social dog who was raised around kids, other dogs, and is 55 pounds of gentle devotion. Photo taken with speedlight/ softbox combo (indirect lighting). Camera settings: ISO 100, F4, 1/200th second, nifty 50 prime lens...

Mount Rainier gets all of the attention but this angle brings in the more-distant volcano, Mount Baker, about 85 miles to the northeast of Seattle. The ferries are pretty regular so I waited for it to pass under the famous Space Needle just as the sky turned a wonderful pink and magenta. Post-processing removed the top of a tree protruding into the frame at the bottom left. The E below the Space Needle is the Edgewater hotel where the Beatles opened their room's window and cast fishing hooks out into Elliot Bay below.

Found this cherry blossom bush at the venue we were at in Nampa, Idaho - Just had to take advantage of how beautiful it was!

Photographed with just one flash with a snoot through various objects.

If a place can be an artist's muse, this place is mine. I discovered it a few years ago and have since photographed it dozens of times, and each time it looks unique, the light, the clouds, winter or summer.

In Northwest Montana, the Bull River Valley is home to the Cabinet Mountain Wilderness. Here, Big and Little Ibex Peaks and Snowshoe Peak are reflected in a pond that is part of the Bull River.

The sunrise on New Years Eve in 2021 lit ice crystals in the air from the very cold temperature.

Dreamy fashion shoot at the Paint Mines Colorado

Around 120 years ago this was the homeplace to one of Norways most famous artist and painter Nikolai Astrup.
And I can only imagine what an inspiration it must have been living in this beautiful house.

Young Green Iguana (Iguana iguana) inside a rolled-up banana leaf. I used external flashes to light up the iguana through the leaf. I used several pictures and blended them to have a more homogeneous light.

This shoot is dedicate to my beloved dog passed away at the end of November.
The 14th of December there was the peak of Geminidi meteor shower, so i decided to plan this special shoot for her in Dolomites where we had a lot of trekking together in those years.

A sunset shot overlooking the West Sea Grand Canyon, HuangShan Mountains Anhui province China. Last November I had the opportunity to visit here and spend a few days on top of the mountains, and this was taken on the last sunset of the trip. The views from here are stunning and standing there the scene looked like something prehistoric. We got some fantastic light just before sunset, with the canyon just being lit up, but unfortunately some low cloud rolled in and the sunset was a bit of a dud. Nevertheless, the whole area is just spectacular, and well worth a visit even if you aren't into photography.

The Provincial Hotel of Mar del Plata (Argentina) was inaugurated in 1950, and was long the largest in Argentina. The hotel has hosted numerous Mar del Plata International Film Festivals and many other events. It is a landmark of the city.
I took this picture in a way to portray its beautiful archways and highlight its curves. Post processing consisted in general contrast and saturation adjustments, curves, and color grading and tone mapping to reinforce the look of an old building.

El no conocer el sitio, el mal tiempo( lluvia y viento), la marea que no bajo lo suficiente y piedras cabronas como ellas solo no lo pusieron fácil pero el sitio es una locura a la que habrá que volver otro año.

When we planned our trip to Indonesia, we could not miss the opportunity to visit Singapore being so close, with 3 or 4 days we had it.
The second day we were there, as we were heading to a location to photograph the sunset of the city, we learned that there was going to be fireworks that night.

The day of the independence of Singapore, August 9, among other spectacles, there are planes and helicopters that fly over the city and finally fireworks, it is so well prepared that the previous Saturdays they are doing tests. And there we were.

Indeed, when we arrived at the place it was full of people and photographers, we had a little trouble to get a place and although the sunset was not very far, it was frankly good to enjoy the fireworks and the views of Singapore.

I remember that I was driving home from my morning photography trip when suddenly it got pretty foggy. I decided to make a stop near pine forest and in seconds I dissapeared to this foggy and dreamy world. About one hour later this is one of the photos I came back with.

During our visit to Slovenia this summer, as it could not be otherwise, we spent an afternoon getting to know this incredible glacial lake.
Bigger than I imagined and more beautiful than I thought.
One of the last things I did before leaving the place was to take advantage of the sunset to start photographing the lights on and capture the first stars of the night.
Thus a beautiful and magical memory ended up on my camera card!

Black Swallowtail Butterfly feeding on Zinnia flower in my garden.

On our trip to the American Southwest this was one of the areas where I enjoyed flying the drone the most. An area full of badlands with a big mountain in the background.

After doing a session at sunset we decided to return at sunrise and there I took this 360 panoramic, I liked it for being able to capture the shadow reflected by the mountain.
Someone might think that the photo does not match the light, to see where the sun is and where is the part of the illuminated land or to see the shadow of the mountain, but I assure you that it is not a montage, it is the effect it gives to be a 360 degree photograph.
